General Manager of Financial Affairs

Job Summary:

The General Manager of Financial Affairs is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring financial health, compliance, and sustainability. This role involves strategic financial planning, budget management, financial reporting, and providing leadership to the finance team to achieve the organization’s financial goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
  2. Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on budget performance.
  3. Financial Reporting: Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  4. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the organization’s financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Cash Flow Management: Manage the organization’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and financial stability.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  7. Investment Management: Oversee investment strategies to optimize returns and support the organization’s financial growth.
  8. Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial practices are transparent and compliant.
  9. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  10. Financial Systems and Processes: Implement and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  9. Project Management: Ability to manage financial projects, including audits, financial system implementations, and process improvements.
  10. Decision-making: Strong decision-making skills to guide the organization’s financial direction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an MBA is highly preferred.
